Before heading out on vacation, I want to follow up on Mister Mix’s post from yesterday: Trump Said a Thing About Diesel.
It’s incredible that what I am about to write has to actually be pointed out because it’s so obvious that Trump is in the tank for Russia and has been for years. Remember, they were targeting him as an “asset” 40+ years ago:
I have no idea what, if anything, they have on him (likely - either sexually, financially or both) or if over the years he just decided he liked the kind of authoritarianism that Putin and Russia have evolved into. It really doesn’t matter. His actions make it clear - he is doing Russian’s bidding and it’s so f*^king obvious.
As Mister Mix wrote yesterday, “…god damn, the guy is collaborating with an enemy. It’s bad! Say it’s bad!”
So now, in what is billed as a desperate attempt to reduce diesel prices here at home - which is doomed to fail - (while in reality it’s an attempt to aid Russia in its war with Ukraine because Trump is the world’s most transparent person and he hates Zelensky for not helping him against Biden), Trump is importing diesel fuel from Russia.
Although, maybe, in reality, he’s importing diesel fuel from… South Korea?:

Yes - Trump is a Russian asset. And because he is the world’s most transparent person who is psychologically unable to disguise his motives or views, we know why. Yet, at the same time, by propping up Rissia financially, he’s aiding our enemy in another war Trump can’t end:
To repeat, this is so f*^king obvious.
However, I also want to highlight another aspect of this whole Russia thing: the weaselly spinelessness of the Republicans (and some Democrats) in the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House.
You see, Congress recently passed (and Trump signed into law) the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026. The idea was to hit Russia (and its enablers in other countries) with even harder and more severe sanctions in an effort to end its invasion of Ukraine (yes, I’m slapping my head that it needs to be said, but it was Russia that invaded Ukraine. Zelensky cannot end the war without essentially ending Ukraine as an independent country; Russia can end the war immediately by ceasing hostilities). All the pompous blowhards in DC touted this new legislation. They say it:
Directs sanctions on certain Russian officials and supporters. It does, but it allows for the President to waive provisions (Section 115).
Direct sanctions on certain Russian financial institutions. It does, but the President has discretion in doing so (Section 115).
Directs tariffs on goods imported directly from Russia. It does, but it allows for the President to waive provisions (Section 115).
Directs tariffs on countries purchasing Russian oil and gas. It does, but it allows for the President to waive provisions (Section 115).
You see, Section 115(a) states:
"The President may, subject to subsection (b), waive the application of any sanctions provision with respect to a foreign person, any restriction with respect to a person, or any duty under this title."
So, all those “tough” provisions and sanctions mean nothing if the President doesn’t want to do them. For Trump, this is a “get out of jail free” Monopoly card, or more accurately, an “ignore the law’s intent and do the opposite to aid Russia” card.
It’s a provision the blows a mile-wide hole in what Republicans touted as a major blow to Russia.
It’s spineless, and illustrates the complete cowardice of Republicans (and some Democrats) and what has evolved into the utter toothlessness of the U.S. Senate and House.
They should be ashamed of themselves (but, of course, they are not).
Their cowardice and complicity is allowing Trump to run roughshod, aligning us with our enemy Russia while elevating the status of China.
We vote with dictatorships in the United Nations. We try to destroy the International Criminal Court (which we are not even a signatory to). We invade other countries to steal the natural resources. We now have an internal goon squad “army” that answers only to the President and which flouts the law and the constitution daily while literally killing U.S. citizens.
We need to understand. WE. ARE. THE. BADDIES.
