The Shamelessness to Skepticism Pipeline
Yesterday's shooting is an example
So after many attempts by JD Vance and others to make it look like an anti-ICE action by “left-wing extremists”, we have a somewhat clear account of the shooting in Dallas yesterday:
One detainee has been killed and two others injured in a shooting at a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (Ice) field office in Dallas, officials said.
Authorities have also confirmed that the shooter died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. NBC News, citing multiple senior law enforcement officials briefed on the investigation, reported that the suspect has been identified as 29-year-old Joshua Jahn.
The Dallas police department said officers responded to a call at approximately 6.40am on Wednesday.
“The preliminary investigation determined that a suspect opened fire at a government building from an adjacent building,” the police said in a statement. “Two people were transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds. One victim died at the scene. The suspect is deceased.”
Kash Patel shared this picture of the alleged bullets:

ANTI-ICE, get it?
Anyway, since he is one of the many shameless Trumpers who Joe wrote about yesterday, I’m skeptical about this so-called piece of evidence. The shooter was a 29 year-old white male with no criminal record other than possession of marijuana back in 2015. Even if the bullets are real, there’s this:
A sign on a car that reportedly belonged to the shooter reads, "Radioactive fallout from nuclear formations that've passed over these areas more than 2x since 1951."
A white guy who sounds somewhat crazy, who only shot detainees, is probably not the profile of a left-wing extremist. It’s the profile of most of the perpetrators of violence in this country. First reports weren’t clear on who was killed, probably because Noem, Vance and others were intentionally and shamelessly evasive about it. So, because of that, most people with a brain will be even more skeptical of anything that comes out of their mouths.
