It’s time to use start using the word: dictator. From a messaging perspective, Democrats should use it every time they refer to Trump or their political opponents.

There’s so much more.

Regarding messaging, Dean Blundell posted today’s edition of “Jon Ossoff Gets It”. Excerpts below (bold emphasis mine). The whole thing is worth a read.

Watch the speech. Ossoff doesn’t rant. He builds. Calm, level, almost unnervingly still, he lays out the corruption of the Trump era the way a prosecutor lays out a RICO case — exhibit by exhibit, date by date, dollar by dollar. And then he connects it to your life:

This corruption is why nothing works for ordinary people. It’s why you pay a fortune for prescriptions. It’s why your insurance company gets away with denying your cancer treatment. It’s why we are promised progress and we get more of the same.”

That’s the move Democrats have fumbled for years. Corruption as an abstraction doesn’t vote. Corruption as the reason your life is harder — that votes.

“Trump promised to attack a broken system. I get it. Ripe target. Yes, the system is really rigged. But he’s not unrigging it. He’s re-rigging it for himself.”

That is the single most dangerous sentence anyone has spoken about Donald Trump. It doesn’t tell Trump voters they were stupid. It tells them they were right — right that the system is rigged — and then shows them the receipts on the man who promised to fix it and pocketed it instead.

And the receipts are the point. Ossoff walked his audience through the tariff timeline: markets in freefall, and six days into the crash — by Ossoff’s telling — Trump buying in big. The next morning, the President of the United States posts “it’s a great time to buy.” Three hours and forty-one minutes later, he cancels the tariffs, triggering the biggest single-day rebound in American history.

Paid subscriptions for presidential announcements on war and peace. Monetizing world events like a Twitch streamer. A White House where, as Ossoff put it, “they view persistence in deceit as a virtue.” A president who, in Ossoff’s telling, doesn’t want to do the job at all — he wants the plane, the entourage, the grift.

He’s called it what it is: a “Mar-a-Lago mafia” running “the most corrupt administration of all time.” He’s mocked the Truth Social meltdowns and the plan to put Trump’s face on the currency. And he tied the whole thing together with the line that will follow this administration into the history books:

We were told MAGA was for working-class Americans. But this is a government of, by, and for the ultra-rich. It is the wealthiest Cabinet ever. This is the Epstein class, ruling our country. They are the elites they pretend to hate.”

If you read my posts regularly, you know I believe this is the way. It’s the corruption stupid.

The initiative is ours. Let’s take it…
