Whiskey Pete and Trump are both feeling their oats on Iran. Anyone who has a brain, two eyes, two ears and access to real news knows that they’re digging themselves a big hole there, as well as alienating our allies, plus ruining the world economy. But Hegseth at least is so high on his own supply that he’s letting his real agenda show:
The Pentagon has invited more than 3,500 employees to attend a Good Friday service at its in-house chapel. Except it’s only for Protestants, not Catholics.
“Just a friendly reminder: There will be a Protestant Service (No Catholic Mass) for Good Friday today at the Pentagon Chapel,” reads a Friday email sent by Air Force leadership, a copy of which was shared by an employee.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, a far-right evangelical Christian, has tried to infuse his religious views into Pentagon activities.
Last May, he brought his Tennessee pastor and controversial spiritual advisor Brooks Potteiger to the Pentagon to lead a prayer service, during which he hailed President Donald Trump as a divinely appointed leader. Hegseth said at the time he wanted to make his prayer service a monthly tradition.
This is hot on the heels of him firing the chief of Army Chaplains, for the first time in history.

Here’s the thing about the kind of Christianity that Hegseth and the other MAGA “Christians” practice: it’s Klan Christianity. The Klan hates Catholics, blacks, browns, Islamics and Jews, and they want to keep women in their place, and so does MAGA.
Isn’t this so bloody obvious that Catholics and Jews, at least, should stop trying to placate MAGA in the hopes of being spared the fate of black and brown people?
Consider the right-wing Catholics on the Supreme Court. When Judgment Day comes, they’re going to be in the same boat as some poor brown immigrant at a pork processing plant in Austin, MN: headed to the gallows. Similarly, consider the fate of all the right-wing Jewish folks who are giving MAGA a bunch of money, and sending money to AIPAC because they think backing Republicans is the best bet to keep Israel defended. When Judgment Day comes, they’ll be thanked for their service preserving the Holy Land on the way to execution and burial in a mass grave.
If you think Judgment Day is something that God will decide, I think you underestimate the blood lust that keeps MAGA going, in addition to their propensity for playing God.
This is another issue where decent people are far behind the curve of where MAGA is on White Evangelical Christian supremacy. There are a lot of Democrats in office, as well as voters, who think that criticizing these Klan Christians isn’t good politics, because it alienates other Christians as well as followers of other religions. I don’t know what to say to that, but if one thing is abundantly clear, Klan Christians are a menace, and we need to find a way to say that in a way that resonates with people who instinctively feel the ick whenever they encounter these people who, despite their name, have little to nothing in common with the teachings of Jesus Christ.
