Worst People in the World

Normally I don’t like to write about how dumb people are, especially if those people have won elections, beating supposedly “smart” folks. But, man, MTG is so fucking dumb. AOC at one point wondered if she could read — not in the sense of whether she can read memes on social media, but whether she can do the reading required of a House member. Apparently, despite all evidence to the contrary, MTG still thinks that releasing the Epstein files will help Trump because all of the evidence about Democrats that they contain:

The tl;dr on this one is that MTG texted Trump and one of his aides to try to convince him to release the Epstein files, after Trump withdrew his endorsement of her on Truth Social. Of course, she immediately posted those texts on social media.

Moving on: Larry Summers. He’s sending Epstein emails trying to get his wife a million dollar grant while at the same time asking Epstein for advice on how to deal with his sugar girlfriend or potential sugar girlfriend who isn’t giving him what he wants (i.e., sex.). This takedown [via LGM] is quite good, making the point that Summers is such a total asskisser that when you pay for his advice, it actually gets worse. This story in the Harvard Crimson is a good roundup of Summers’ emails with his boon companion Epstein, if you’ve missed it.

When will we ever be rid of this useless piece of shit? He has a huge responsibility for the Great Recession because of the terrible economic advice he gave Obama. He’s apparently still on the board of the Center for American Progress, a supposedly “progressive” think tank. Is he like a cat with 9 lives? Does he have kompromat on every Democrat in power? How does this obvious incompetent keep staying in the spotlight?

Finally, and most disgustingly, Oliva Nuzzi. She had some kind of affair with RFK Jr, and in a new piece in the New York Times, well:

Characterizing what is obviously transactional starfucking (without actual fucking, apparently) as true love is sure a stretch, and let’s not be bothered with the absolute abandonment of any sense of journalistic ethics that Nuzzi demonstrated. Her rehabilitation tour has started — don’t let facts get in the way.

It’s an unfortunate fact that we can’t strap all of these people to one of Elon’s rockets and fire them into the sun, mainly because his rockets don’t work.
