I spent time at a family event this weekend in the Bay Area (see picture above to get an idea). One of my first cousins works for the BLM - originally in Idaho and for the past several years in New Mexico. Of course, we ended up chatting about how things were going at his work. I learned something new. He informed me of some thought control euphemisms that have been newly mandated by leadership at the BLM.
Renewable energy sources/projects are now only allowed to be referred to as “intermittent energy”.
Fossil fuel energy sources/projects are now only allowed to be referred to as “traditional energy”.
I know we are all aware of this, but the Orwellian attempts at language control and thought control of this Administration are just so obvious and yet so underreported. As is this Administration’s ubiquitous use of “mandated” language in general, something that should be anathema in a free society.
I’d say this is actually “un-American”, but it’s pretty clear now that this is a comforting lie we like to tell ourselves. Unfortunately, it is all too “American” for way too many people.

Speaking of language, this guy is a truly disgusting and deplorable lump of carbon/oxygen/hydrogen/nitrogen who’s only purposes seem to be using up air the rest of humanity could use and cleaning up his excrement.
Ron Johnson: "Even more deviously, they trained activists to obstruct justice, encouraged them to put themselves in harm's way, they got two martyrs, then they used their martyrs as their excuse to try to defund law enforcement"

“They got two martyrs”. In a relatively normally functioning society, he should be shamed and shunned by everyone for the rest of his miserable and inconsequential life. Every Republican should be asked if they agree with his “two martyrs” statements. I do try to stay away from overuse of vulgar language (I swear! 🤪) but… Fuck this douchebag.
