What is it Good For?

Well, I guess we’re at war with Iran because our special boy wasn’t getting enough attention, plus he got totally fucking played by Bibi Netanyahu. “Our bombs aren’t big enough, Donald, only your bombs are big enough to penetrate!” It’s almost comically phallic if it wasn’t deadly serious.

I’m not watching Trump’s address, and I don’t really want to follow the news that closely. It’s a goddam tedious replay of another stupid entanglement. This one is super-stupid because Iran’s nuclear program could be under control but dumb dumb fucked that up. In a sane world, fucking with Iran should be political dynamite, because their retaliation won’t be a missile hitting the US, it will be one or more terror attacks.

But, as Oliver Willis pointed out in yesterday’s podcast, Democrats are frozen in 1984 and are too scared to make this dumb war a political issue. Instead, they’re going to cheerlead and shit on anyone in our party who disagrees.
