For once in my life I’m rooting for Lauren Boebert:
President Trump and other administration officials reached out to key Republicans who have signed on to an effort to force a vote on releasing files about Jeffrey Epstein in the hours before the push was set to succeed on Wednesday.
CNN reported that Attorney General Pam Bondi, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, and FBI Director Kash Patel planned to meet with Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.).
Trump spokesliar Levitt said that she couldn’t talk about what’s going on in the Situation Room when asked about Trump calling Boebert. I mean, for him, it’s certainly a situation. He’s also going to try to flip Nancy Mace, who is ducking his calls, last I heard.
Here’s where MAGA will go next on the Epstein stuff:
MEGYN KELLY (HOST): As for Epstein, I've said this before, but just as a reminder, I do know somebody very, very close to this case who is in a position to know virtually everything. Not everything, but virtually everything. And this person has told me from the start years and years ago that Jeffrey Epstein, in this person's view, was not a pedophile. This is this person's view, who was there for a lot of this, but that he was into the barely legal type. Like, he liked 15-year-old girls. And I realized this is disgusting. I'm definitely not trying to make an excuse for this. I'm just giving you facts, that he wasn't into, like, 8-year-olds. But he liked the very young teen types that could pass for even younger than they were, but would look legal to a passerby.
The term that Kelly is searching for is Ebhebophile, and it still involves statuatory rape.
Adelita Grijalva is going to be sworn in around 4 this afternoon, and presumably Mike Johnson is hiding the discharge petition in the same place where he hides his porn from his son, so it might be a while before she signs it.
There was some talk on BlueSky today that it’s already obvious that Trump was part of a pedophile ring, but so what? It’s obvious to some, and not obvious to others, and, furthermore: drip, drip, drip.
