There have been hundreds of settler attacks this year alone in the West Bank resulting in death and injuries -- including awful incidents this past weekend. Settlers have killed Palestinian and American civilians, surrounded homes, burned down villages and mosques, thrown stones at residents, and kept innocent civilians from food and water.
The cycle of settler expansion and violence with no consequences must end. And responsibility falls squarely with Prime Minister Netanyahu and his government, who either turn a blind eye or openly support this kind of violence.
For a Jewish state to support such violence, given the history of Jewish people fleeing similar terror just a few generations ago, is reprehensible. And Congress should use all the tools we have to demand basic accountability.
