I’m a bit under the weather today, so just a few quick updates.
First up: Mail-in voting. These guys are as corrupt as it gets, and we need to be better prepared going forward as we approach election day. Whistleblower for the win:
It’s amazing the legs this voter fraud con has given THERE HAS VNEVER BEEN ANY EVIDENCE OR PROOF supplied by the pro-voter fraud folks that it actually exists in any meaningful way, and THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A SINGLE PROSECUTION OR INDICTMENT FOR SYSTEMIC VOTER FRAUD.
Yes - I feel like shit today and I’m pissed off…

Next: SCOTUS and the Ballroom. Yesterday, SCOTUS ruled 5-4 in a shadow docket ruling that Trump can continue with his ballroom. OF course, SCOTUS didn’t rule on the “merits”. In typical cowardly fashion, they ruled that the National Trust for Historic Preservation does not have standing to sue. Look, I am not a lawyer, but who the f^ck does have standing? In fact, doesn’t every single U.S. citizen have standing given that the White House is public property of the people (“The People’s House) and continued construction actually WILL do permanent harm? I mean, even Roberts agrees on this one that the construction is “likely unlawful”.

Finally, Purging the Military. This is the truly scary item.
The most important action any wannabe dictator/authoritarian ruler can take is to bring the military into their fold. Trump and Hegseth are well on the way to doing that. Then there’s this (bold/italics emphasis mine):
Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Dan Caine says there are no plans to send troops to polling places in the November midterm election, nor has he received such an order, in response to concerns from Democrats that President Donald Trump could use the military to interfere in the election.
Caine, the nation's highest-ranking military officer, made the statement in a letter to Democratic Sen. Elissa Slotkin of Michigan who asked him in an Aug. 18 correspondence to confirm the military would not send troops to the polls or seize any election materials.
In the letter, which Slotkin's office released Aug. 31, Caine said the Joint Force "will continue to act, in accordance with the Constitution and the law." He said election administration and security "remain the fundamental responsibility of state and local officials."
"The Joint Force has no plans to send Federal military personnel or Federalized members of the National Guard to polling places during the 2026 elections. Likewise, the Joint Force has no plans to use such personnel to seize ballots, voting machines, or other election related-material," he said.
Caine added: "I have neither received nor anticipate receiving any unlawful order concerning the role of the Joint Force in the upcoming November 2026 midterm elections."
Forgive me for not feeling super comforted. “No plans”?! Dude - there should NEVER be plans because it’s ILLEGAL for the military to patrol or be at polling places unless it’s to repel an armed enemy of the U.S.
18 USC§592. Troops at polls
Whoever, being an officer of the Army or Navy, or other person in the civil, military, or naval service of the United States, orders, brings, keeps, or has under his authority or control any troops or armed men at any place where a general or special election is held, unless such force be necessary to repel armed enemies of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both; and be disqualified from holding any office of honor, profit, or trust under the United States.
This section shall not prevent any officer or member of the armed forces of the United States from exercising the right of suffrage in any election district to which he may belong, if otherwise qualified according to the laws of the State in which he offers to vote.
And let’s remember the Posse Comitatus Act, which bars the military from enforcing civilian laws:
18 USC §1385. Use of Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Space Force as posse comitatus
Whoever, except in cases and under circumstances expressly authorized by the Constitution or Act of Congress, willfully uses any part of the Army, the Navy, the Marine Corps, the Air Force, or the Space Force as a posse comitatus or otherwise to execute the laws shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both.
These a**holes might actually succeed…
