Were you aware that a far Right Republican has been crowned the presumptive GOP nominee for the governor’s race in Ohio, a state with a population of 12 million??

That this far Right extremist is the child of immigrants and a member of a minority religion in the US?

Were you also aware that this far Right extremist is 39 years old and has no political experience of any kind, yet is on a Trump-greased track straight to the Ohio governorship? A state with nearly twice the population of NYC?

To see the ideological bias in media just look at the absolutely insanely negative (and near-blanket) coverage of newcomer Zohran Mamdani compared to the nearly nonexistent coverage of newcomer Vivek Ramaswamy, who was appointed as the GOP nominee for governor by Donald Trump and is backed with record breaking donations from wealthy people.

Media have no problem at all with candidates on the end of the ideological spectrum, as long as the candidate is 1. on the Right and 2. backed by the wealthiest people in the country. In fact, candidates on the far Right don’t even have to run in competitive primaries - Daddy Trump can just appoint them.

• the logo at the top of the page is Susquehanna Trading, Ramaswamy’s biggest donor. Apparently free buses in NYC are endlessly newsworthy while the fact that the soon-to-be elected Governor of Ohio is wholly owned by financial trading interests is not.
