The Grift is So Bold

This man is so sick. The grift never ends:

Trump and his kids are suing the IRS. Remember, those tax returns showed he paid no income taxes for long stretches of time while paying taxes to China instead. But lets be clear - this is about extortion and control.

You see, Trump controls the IRS. He has also made the Justice Department - the department that will “defend” the United States against this lawsuit - his personal law firm.

Any bets on the size of the settlement? Insane.

This is on top of Trump’s claims for $230 million for the investigation into his potential ties between Russia and his campaign as well as the search of Mar-A-Lago for the classified documents it is documented that he took from the White House without authority or permission.

Again, DOJ is in charge of any settlement. Oh, BTW, let’s remember that the Republican-led Senate Intelligence Committee - in a bipartisan manner - found that, in fact, Russian entities did attempt to help Trump win.

And, yeah, Lindsay Graham is holding up the funding deal in the Senate because he wants to provision allowing him to sue the government for up to $500K to be reinstated in the legislation. This is the Lindsay Graham who called Brad Raffensberger in Georgia imploring him to find votes for Trump. The gall.

While Trump is very publicly putting his authoritarianism on display in Minnesota (and other places), he is also not-so-publicly destroying the very fabric of our government.

And, yeah, we are now arresting journalist of color using the Klu Klux Klan Act of 1871. The mind reels and the body cries for our country:

Every Republican elected needs to hear from us. They’re the ones who know this is wrong (well, most of them - some are too far gone) but are too cowardly to do anything about it because they want power and they believe this is the key to keeping their jobs.
