The Ads Write Themselves

This from Scott Bessent yesterday (h/t to @atrupar.com):
Bessent on American farmers being hurt by tariffs: "Martha, in case you don't know it, I'm actually a soybean farmer, so I have felt this pain too."

This is a man worth approximately $600 million. This was his house in Charleston, SC (it’s referred to as the “Pink Palace”.

And by “soybean farmer” he means he owns land in North Dakota that he rents to tenant farmers, and, per his financial filings, he makes between $100K and $1 million per year from rent (not actually… farming).
One doesn’t want to be overly descriptive, but these guys have no shame; he’s absolutely as d-bag.
Dems need to run nonstop ads in every farm/ag state with his pithy quote, pictures of his mansion and verbiage that states how Trump’s gave Argentina a $40 billion bailout while pushing China to buy soybeans from Argentina instead of the US. Maybe throw in that this all took place during a gov’t shutdown where many farmer’s health insurance premiums wen though the roof.. Priorities.
