If you’re into “justice porn” as the kids call it, I suggest that watching her sentencing by Judge Matthew Barrett might be worth your time:
Barrett is a judge in Mesa County, CO, which is a relatively red county. The biggest town there is Grand Junction. This is his bio. He’s no raving liberal. But his sentencing statement is righteous. He calls her a “charlatan”, one of my favorite words. Jared Polis, for all his faults, won’t pardon her. Perhaps if the US Supreme Court wants to weigh in, she might get off. But even that corrupt body will probably leave this clear-cut case alone.
She’s 69 and she got 9 years. I don’t know shit about how long someone with her (non-existent) criminal record will spend in prison, but she’s going to be a hell of a lot older when she gets out.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.
