This is another “broken record” post.
There is an incredible opportunity right now (and it’s been there for a while) for Democrats to step up with a comprehensive program to show Americans that they are THE political party to support.
The party that understands the system isn’t working for most.
The party that gets the angst and quiet desperation of the majority of Americans.
The party that has a plan to directly improve the lives of the people who live in the U.S.
The party of action.

JFC! These people are so not up to the moment. Jeffries give s a milquetoast answer in a deadpan voice. He lost me after the first 2 seconds of his response. How about something like, “You just mentioned the mistake was s small number of the total voters in New Jersey. It’s actually less than 1/100 of 1 percent.” [c’mon dude - think on your feet] “We don’t want even one non-eligible person voting, but we want make it easier for every eligible person to vote. [pivot] The real issue here is the wholesale corruption of Trump, Republicans and the Epstein Class who break laws, evade accountability and loot the country at the expense the other 99% who live here. People are separate - they can’t afford healthcare, housing, gas or even food. We will be focused like a laser on taking action to change all of that.

What should that plan look like? If it were me, off the top of my head, I’d go with:
Prosecuting the corrupt, law-breaking elites who flaunt our laws for self-enrichment and other heinous crimes (Epstein Class, anyone?)
Reversing and ending Trump’s illegal tariffs that are actual tax hikes on all Americans
Getting big money out of politics by overturning or bypassing horrible Supreme Court decisions while reforming the Court to reflect the modern world Corporations are NOT people, they cca’t vote, so they shouldn’t be able to contribute to elections
Make billionaires and mega-corporations apay their fair share - increase their taxes back up to the historic rates in the 1950s. 1960s and 70s when the middle class thrived
Increasing competition by breaking up corporate monopolies to bring down prices though aggressive anti-trust enforcement
Changing laws to totally start over with immigration enforcement, allow for needed immigration while increasing funding for immigration courts and responsible enforcement of our border law
Moving towards a healthcare system that provides basic, quality and affordable healthcare for every single American

It’s a four-pronged plan:
Acknowledgment (that things are not working).
Accountability (for lawbreakers and the “untouchable” elite).
Affordability (focus like a laser on getting the economy back on track for the majority of Americans instead of political donors and the elite few).
Action (act fast and ask for forgiveness, not permission).
