Mistakes were made. But the collegiality of the Senate was retained.

Why does it feel like I'm Krusty the Clown, betting on Washington Generals?

Republicans killed Roe, and a lot of old men in the Senate just cannot be bothered when it comes to thinking about women and their bodily autonomy-- even after a dead woman in Georgia is kept on life support to grow a fetus to term. It's completely disgusting.

"I took Josh Hawley's advice"

Dem Senators can be such rubes.

King is technically an independent who caucuses with Democrats.

Shaheen has been the biggest disappointment of the year. Her voting record is nearly indistinguishable from that of a Republican. She must have a very comfortable sinecure waiting for her.

my 'little comment': Angus was stupid and Shaheen was stupid and evil, and both need to "withdraw from the field," if you know what i mean, and i think you do.

Democrats take turns taking the hits to do this. They are all guilty. Just as it wasn't just Manchin he just had the safety to do what he did. With him gone others will step in. Many blue states are old GOP states. Not just the rich but the upper middle class must be protected as well as business. They are blue because conservatism is for poor white socially conservative trash now. But the voters and senators are the old sane GOP.

GAH! Thank you for giving us this outlet while you're on the road. I'll add this without comment (from Heather Cox Richardson today) except to say that this fucking guy will be ringing the bell to open trading on Nasdaq:

'Finally today, cryptocurrency reporter Molly White noted that a memecoin by cryptocurrency billionaire Justin Sun, who has invested about $213 million in cryptocurrency projects connected to Trump, posted a meme showing its mascot, sporting an evil grin, manipulating the White House with the mechanical system of a puppeteer. Over the image, the meme read: “You never truly know who’s pulling the strings.”
