Well, this ad is pure genius.

It’s got it all: a compelling story, wry humor, subtle derision, slipping in that Paxton has been indicted for fraud, contrasting Paxton with an actual “nice guy”, and promoting an overarching story arc of a petty thief with no morals who is not worthy of, well, any office, let alone the United States Senate.

And the closing line is killer: “Vote for James Talarico. He won’t steal your pen.”

Brutal.

The video focused on something seemingly so small, yet my guess is, it will be pretty darn effective.
