Quickie post on breaking news (as always, the Wall Street Journal is on top of it):

I’ve got thoughts on the IRS - the agency everybody loves to hate but perhaps one of the most critical agencies in the US Government).

For now, I’ll just point out that Billy Long - who was just fired after being confirmed by the Senate with absolutely zero qualifications and serving in his position for 2 months - is the 6th IRS Commissioner in the 6 ½ months Trump has been President.

True leadership at the Agency that is supposed to ensure that all taxpayers and income earners in the United States pay what they owe so we can actually pay for the programs and services Congress and the President vote into law.
