Personal Note: It’s been along couple of years recovering from surgery for one of the rarest cancer tumors in the world. Someone who had the same cancer in the same location as me told me before surgery, “Our blessing is no chemo and no radiation; our curse is brutal surgery and brutal recovery.”. She wasn’t lying. That was the bad news. The good news is I am clean and back to doing everything I did before, with only minor “adjustments”. As a reminder, I had zero symptoms and they found the tumor after a random MRI for something that ended up being entirely irrelevant.
PSA: get regular checkups and if you think something needs to be looked at, have it looked at. Stat.
In addition, as I wrote at one point, Mrs. Wypoxic’s office burned down after 26 years in residence. That’s the bad news. The good news is she’s over the shock, has found new space and her business is going gangbusters.
That being said, Mrs. Wypoxic and I are heading out today to points unknown (to all of you) for a much-needed getaway. Hint: crystal clear waters, awesome food and ancient history/ruins. Biking, hiking, kayaking, touring, napping - it’s all on the table.
Therefore, posting will likely be spotty over the next couple of weeks. MM and Kay will keep you up to speed on all things political and otherwise.
Finally, Kay is showing the way, but even if we all can’t volunteer on the ground like her, we need to spread the word on this election. Every vote counts!
