Narcissistic "Justice"

Abrego Garcie and the can't be wrongs

First, a few comments from the lawless piece of shit who is serving as Trump’s AG:

Kilmar Ábrego García, the man whom the Donald Trump administration mistakenly deported from Maryland to El Salvador in March, returned to the US on Friday to face criminal charges.

In a press briefing on Friday, the US attorney general, Pam Bondi, said that a federal grand jury in Tennessee had indicted Ábrego García on counts of illegally smuggling undocumented people as well as of conspiracy to commit that crime.

“Our government presented El Salvador with an arrest warrant and they agreed to return him to our country,” Bondi said of Ábrego García. She thanked the Salvadorian president, Nayib Bukele, “for agreeing to return him to our country to face these very serious charges”.

The narcissism that permeates Trumpism holds that Trumpists’ beliefs are more important than the plain facts. The plain facts are that Garcia was a construction worker, husband to a US citizen, and father of a child with that woman. The plain facts are that a bunch of ICE thugs rounded him up and fundamentally didn’t care if a court had already ordered that Garcia couldn’t be deported to El Salvador.

The two month delay in bringing Garcia back to the US after a judge’s order, and these almost certainly manufactured charges, are part of the “can’t be wrong” aspect of this case. The resignation of the head of the criminal division in the US Attorney’s office in Tennessee, where Garcia is being prosecuted, is more evidence that this Bondi and the rest just came up with something to charge Garcia to continue the fiction that he’s a dangerous criminal.

That all said, he’s in the news again, and I’m guessing that when his trial finally comes, the charges against him will be shown to be a joke. That’s all good.
