My Colostrum Routine Was Done More Than 60 Years Ago
Surrounded by quackery and bullshit
I was at Overland Expo Mountain West this weekend so I didn’t get a post out yesterday, but today we were shopping on our way back to where we’re staying, and I saw this:

I realize we all have different triggers for our exasperation at the stupidity that prevails in the Trump administration, but this one got me. Idiots like RFK whose overweening pride and innate gullibility are in the process of destroying the best medical research facilities in the world want to replace medicine with nonsense like this.
I had my colostrum a long time ago, and, frankly, the notion that there’s some way to encapsulate the health benefits of the first few ounces of mother’s milk is just a bunch of hokum. Add to that the idea that whatever health benefits are claimed can be put into a tiny, shelf-stable envelope of powder is even dumber.
But this is the kind of stuff RFK the lesser will push onto us, after he’s sent out MAHA boxes of a small amount of food that will in no way compensate for the destruction of SNAP. Apparently the reason he’s not seriously concerned that someday he’ll contract cancer or some other disease that could be cured via medical research is that he’s so fucking stupid that he believes his own bullshit. He’s really the worst of the bunch, and he has plenty of competition.
