Monsters All The Way Down

A few thoughts on this disgusting revelation:

• Child molestation ain’t pretty. I’m assuming that most of Gaetz, Epstein and Trump’s victims didn’t have a lot of money or a great home life. Perhaps a little more coverage of these girls’ vulnerability might be something our press corpse might want to consider.

• Interesting timing from the “paper of record” the “liberal” New York Times, after yesterday’s revelation that one of their reporters was exchanging emails with his “friend” Epstein. I didn’t read the story because I don’t have a Times subscription, but when and how they found out about Gaetz’ victim would make an interesting timeline.

• Was this the reason that Gatez’ nomination to be AG was scuttled by Republicans? How many of them knew about it back then?

I see people on BlueSky saying that this news was released in an effort to change the subject from the Epstein files, and my response to that is “Huh?” In my mind, it just reinforces the narrative that Republicans have been part of a cabal of child molesters, and that includes Trump as well as Gaetz.
