Maybe the Media Needs to Eat More Soybeans
So……
China “agrees” (in some vague way that we haven’t seen in writing yet - note that the deal is described as part of a “framework/truce” rather than a fully binding legally-enforceable treaty) to import 12 million metric tons of soybeans from the U.S. this year and 25 million for each of the next two years in return for the U.S. providing China with advanced computer chips and AI know how.
Of course, in 2024 - under Biden - China purchased 27 million metric tons.
Trump “negotiated” a worse deal for soybeans than we’ve had in the past and in order to get even that, he gave away valuable tech info/expertise that will hurt our domestic industries vis-a-vis China.
Again, major media fail. How hard is it to:
point this out to the public
point out that Trump has bankrupted nearly every venture he’s ever undertaken
Push back in real time whenever the toadies in his Admin say something to the effect of, “we’d rather have Trump negotiating on our behalf than anyone else because he’s the best deal maker ever”.
Grrrrrrr…
