The amazing thing is this is DOJ’s and Pirro’s rationale in their filing dropping the case is a bunch of crap. Anyone who pays attention knew before they called the Grand Jury that it was a botched job (although to be fair the MAGA bubble might be hermetically sealed so tight that these bozos don’t know even though they do pay attention). Pirro just doesn’t want another humiliating defeat.

Predictably, Trump was pissed off:

Obviously, DOJ dropping charges - and admitting damage to the Reflecting Pool prior to David Hearn bending down and merely touching already damaged goods - exposes Trup’s blatant lie.

He almost admits it in this TS screed (“there may have been some contractor difficulty”) but b/c he’s Trump, a pathological liar and a malignant narcissist, he can’t quite go all the way and admit it (“but the major damage was caused by VANDALS”)

I have but one question to ask of my country: Will the media use DOJ’s words about prior damage and contractor fault to bluntly and explicitly call out Trump for lying?
