JD Vance’s brother wants to be mayor of Cincinatti. The problem is, he’s far, far Right and an asshole and Cincinatti has become very blue over the last decade.
When Cincinnati residents head to the polls this November to vote for their next mayor, they will have two choices: the Democratic-aligned incumbent and a GOP-backed newcomer who happens to be the half-brother of Vice President Vance.
Cory Bowman shares a father with Vance and credits the vice president with inspiring his foray into politics.
He came in second in Tuesday's primary, winning 12.91% of the vote behind Mayor Aftab Pureval's 82.53%. The two beat a third candidate, Republican Brian Frank, to advance to the general election this fall.
Enter crime panic and the national Right wing and centrist media - there was a brawl in Cincinnati a couple of weeks ago which national Right wing and centrist media have promoted relentlessly as an example of why America needs far Right fascist strongmen leaders.
Obviously, the media/GOP plan in the run up to the 2026 elections is to gin up (another) crime panic.
Now, right on cue, comes our overpaid and underworked far Right police force, the people who have a 40% clearance rate on violent crime - they solve less than half of crimes because they’re incompetent - to attack the Democratic mayor and scare the populace into supporting another tech bro stooge, Vance’s brother.
Union representatives for the Cincinnati Police Department have roundly rejected the city’s mayor, stemming in part from the fallout from the viral July 26 beatdown that reverberated across the nation.
“Tonight, the Cincinnati Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Lodge 69 unanimously voted no confidence in Mayor Aftab Pureval, citing a series of leadership failures over the past month that have undermined public safety, police operations, and community trust,” the FOP said in a Monday night statement obtained by Fox News Digital.
Alarming to watch FOX News, The New York Post and the New York Times join forces to promote JD Vance’s brother with a wholly media created crime panic but between this and the clearly media promoted Trump military takeovers in LA and DC I do think this gives us a clear preview of what national media will be flogging to scare people into supporting fascists. It’s gonna be crime, crime, crime from now until election day.
