Impossible to Deal with President Deals

Just don’t do it is the only workable strategy

Nonsensical babble:

The team from @theaircurrent is seeking more information on this statement from the President. A massive amount of the U.S. fleet of mainline, regional, helicopter and military aircraft are "made in Canada."

I suppose one of Trump’s rich buddies from Canada wants to fly a Gulfstream, and Trump is such an out-of-touch rich guy that he thinks that the only jets Bombardier makes are private jets, so he doesn’t know that he just decertified a bunch of the regional jets that are the backbone of US commercial airline fleets, including the CRJ series and the Airbus A220 family.

If we’re going to try to analyze why Trump would do something like this, my guess is that someone translated Mark Carney’s speech to a third-grade reading level and then pantomimed it to him in the Oval.

Some of Trump’s people also met with Canadian separatists from Alberta, so there’s that. (Alberta has a lot of “Maple MAGA” Trump lovers, and some of them want Alberta to secede. This is not a popular point of view in Canada, to say the least.)

Moving south, after what Claudia Sheinbaum characterized as a “productive” and “friendly” call with Trump yesterday, Trump signed an EO today that threatens tariffs against any country that exports oil to Cuba. Mexico is one of those countries.

Just a constant stream of fuckery from Trump towards our (formerly) closest allies and good neighbors. It never ends.
