To me, the kitchen table issue is in part linking Trump's lawlessness to people losing insurance and other terrible things happening. And if a President is lawless, impeachment is the remedy. We shouldn't be afraid of saying that. It's not going to drag Trumpers to the polls. They're going anyway.

Rubbing salt into MAGA wounds over Epstein is absolutely the best strategy right now. It works, and for the first time in perhaps ever, Trump really seems to be reeling.
It even works online! I have taken to responding to MAGA on various forums with the incessant drumbeat of Epstein. They hate it, and lose their shit.
Blah, blah Obama. Great point. What about Epstein?
Blah, blah Biden. You may be onto something. What about Epstein?
Presenting the same kind of obsession (feigned of course) over Epstein that MAGA has over Pizzagate, Clinton’s emails, etc. is just not something they are prepared for. They never thought anyone else could bring the crazy. Boy were they wrong.

Off topic but people in Scotland are doing Teh Lawd's work protesting Dotard, I just saw a photo of a guy holding up an enlarged famous photo of Janey Godley high-fiving a cop while holding up her Trump is a c word sign and I felt some joy this morning. Also a pub with a sign out front "Giving out free fish guts to throw at Trump today. You're welcome."

Impeachment is high risk and low reward. The Senate is never going to impeach because math is not on the side of the Democrats there.
They need to do endless investigations into Jeffrey Epstein.
They can do studies in whether they should regulate deep fakes and play the clip from the South Park episode.
They should do a die in before they discuss how many people have lost their health insurance under the big beautiful bill.
It should all be cartoonish nonsense like when Republicans kept bringing guns onto the House floor.

Agreed. My point below isn't about impeachment per se but more on how the GOP is once again setting the messaging agenda and we're reacting instead of setting it ourselves.
Impeachment is a political act regardless of the wording in the Constitution, the main political act in our case being as you mention, the Senate. And politically, impeachment will die there. Thus, by any political calculus, impeachment is a waste of time.
But there's nothing wrong in keeping it on the burner while pointing out how Senate Republicans have abrogated their responsibility to the Constitution not once but twice when it comes to Hair Furor.
Never actually proceed with impeachment but nothing wrong in saying "We'd impeach the bastard again but Senate Republicans will basically do a 'jury nullification' exercise".
