Holy Shit

I had another post scheduled because I thought this would be a long night, but look at this. The best I was expecting was Mamdani after re-ranking (or whatever it’s called), not an outright win.

This was a huge loss for the old guard establishment of the Democratic Party, made worse for them by the fact that they could have shut their fucking mouths when they had no obvious dog in the hunt. Clyburn is a great example, but I hope to hell we’ve heard the last from Bill Fucking Clinton. Also, the unions that stupidly endorsed Cuomo sure showed their asses. More useless than tits on a boar hog, as we say out here.

You may say that I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one who thinks that perhaps, just perhaps, the fucking centrists who insist on shitting on the left will perhaps think twice next time. There’s nothing wrong with being a centrist or a leftist in the Democratic Party. We have a common enemy. But it’s the god damned centrists who are doing shit like endorsing an ass grabber like Cuomo while freaking the fuck out at the possibility of a leftist taking a seat in a very liberal town. To be fair, it’s certainly not all centrists.

That all said, India Walton won her primary in Buffalo and then was beat by Byron Brown running a write-in campaign in the general. I get the feeling that there were more Democrats engaged in this primary than the Buffalo one, but it’s more than likely that Cuomo will try to run as an independent, if possible, in the general election.
