The company takes what the company wants, is all I have to say about this:

Donald Trump will launch a “revenge” attack on the White House media when he confronts them in person at a Washington dinner on Saturday night—then flee before there can be revenge.

He is expected to target publications that he has accused of writing negatively about his administration and his war with Iran, in particular, according to sources.

Pete Hegseth, Steven Miller and Brendan Carr will be at the CBS and Paramount tables with Bari Weiss, natch. That said, good for the NYT on this one occasion:

I often criticize the NY Times, but I’ll praise them for their policy of not attending the White House Correspondents’ Dinner except to cover it. HuffPo also skips the shameful event in which the press parties with pols they’re supposed to cover dispassionately. Attending is a choice. A bad one.

The irony of this event is that the attendees think they’re so much better than the proles who labor honestly every day, but they’re clearly “trapped” — by which I mean, they value sending their kids to private schools and living in a nice place in Georgetown — and so they’re “unable” to do what any decent person would do, which is to shun this odious event.
