Welp, yesterday was certainly a day ending in “y”.

Trump fired the head of the Bureau of Labor Statistics after a devastating jobs report. Once he works his way through the decent career employees there, he’ll get the numbers he wants. Another step towards the North Koreafication of this place.

May is when he got serious about tariffs, and basically employers froze hiring, or laid off employees if they were on the fence about the future of their company.

It was also reported yesterday that Trump’s name and all the other names of important people were redacted from the Epstein files.

Traders are still high on their own supply if the combination of a jobs report from hell and tariffs coming back is only worth a 160 basis points hit on the market.

So, Trump is going to have a BLS that says whatever he wants it to say, he’ll have Ghislane Maxwell lying for him after he pardons her, and the Epstein report will look like a black marker orgy. Seems like we only go backwards, in the words of a philosopher.
