First, Bondi. All I can say is that she did exactly what Trump wanted, what he wants is lawless, and since there are things called “courts”, she couldn’t get him everything he wanted. Also, I guess she was supposed to let her dog eat the Epstein files? Not sure how that was supposed to go. That said, this the wrong take from someone who usually is pretty sensible:

Bondi had no integrity to give up. That was her principal qualification for the job.

Second, and perhaps more alarming, always wrong moron Pete Hegseth fired the Army Chief of Staff, Randy George. (Technically, Hegseth asked him to retire, but, whatever.) There’s some speculation about why, and that speculation includes a conflict over Hegseth refusing to promote two women and two black men to the rank of General. That might be true, but I’m also going to guess that Hegseth and Trump are getting pushback from the military on their desire to invade Iran. Trump is an engine of stupidity, but Hegseth might have him beat on the dumb ideas front. This, for example, is extremely stupid:

Trump flailing around trying to avoid the consequences of his actions in Iran — which include Iran being able to charge tolls to pass through the Strait of Hormuz — is a situation where he and Hegseth might want to “shake things up” and “roll the dice” by sending in Marines and airborne infantry. If that happens, we’re going to see a lot more casualties.

The essence of MAGA is being governed by the dumbest people around, and believing that’s OK because they’re male and white.
