Fear, Fear, Fear
Don't their guns protect them?
A sitting Republican senator says he is so scared driving in DC that he doesn't wear a seatbelt out of fear he might get carjacked and won't be able to escape www.mediaite.com/media/tv/rep...

Doesn’t he have like 100 guns? Aren’t those supposed to help with the irrational fear of violent crime? And there’s this:
WASHINGTON — This perp ate too fresh.
A man who used a Subway sandwich to attack a federal agent on the streets of DC earlier this week has been charged with felony assault.
The criminal case against Sean Charles Dunn, 37, was announced Wednesday by DC US Attorney Jeanine Pirro, who said in a statement that “the police are not out there to get pushed around or beat up.”
Sorry for the Post link but I was trying to understand what this whole sandwich thing was about. Apparently last night the DC police plus various feds went wilding in that neighborhood and arrested/harassed folks.
One of the many negative legacies of 9/11 is the piss pants fear that was promulgated by Republicans about, well, everything. (Some Democrats were complicit in this, too, but Republicans were the prime movers.) They’ve gone from trying to convince people in Iowa and Nebraska that a caravan of migrant hoodlums is swarming the border, heading for Ottumwa or Kearney, to felony sandwich assault.
Again, don’t these people basically open or close carry everywhere? Isn’t that gun supposed to do something for them? Aren’t their lives full of fantasies where their precious gun enables them to pew pew pew the baddies? Either that gun does something or it doesn’t, get it straight.
