Easy Fixes for the Little People
sadly, most of us have to live in the real world

Two recent stories that show how out of touch this Admin (and MAGA in general) are with the reality of our country:
First, Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy’s “let-them-eat-cake” answer to fixing air travel is to dress nicer on planes like the old days (of course, the old days included free fancy meals for everyone, great service, and checked bags for free:
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy wants air travelers to be nice this holiday season. A new DOT campaign asks passengers to help each other and thank flight attendants. n.pr/4oWRh0K

Here’s the link to Gavin Newsom’s response: Gavin Newsom Slams Sean Duffy For Urging People To Dress Nicely On Thanksgiving Flights, Transportation Secretary Hits Back With 'Skinny Jeans' Jibe - United Airlines Holdings (NASDAQ:UAL) - Benzinga
Newsom got it right: “Sean Duffy eliminated fines for airlines that delay or cancel your flights — making it easier for them to disrupt your travel.”
Duffy - what a clueless d*^k.
Second, even worse and more clueless, Treasury Secretary Soctt Bessent’s “let-them-eat-cake” answer to coping with inflation is… just move (with half of people in the U.S. having income of $45K or less - see link below - he has no idea what it takes to survive, let alone up and move):
Bessent: "You know the best way to bring your inflation rate down? Move from a blue state to a red state. Blue state inflation is half a percent higher."

Stats:
Finally, we all know Trump’s “let-them-eat-cake” answer to higher prices - just lie that prices are down, not up (can’t bring myself to link to his social media posts, but his false claims are all over the place - trust me)
The New York Times and other news outlets often write generic headlines on their fact checks instead of stating what their reporting found. In this case, the NYT story says flat-out that Trump is claiming falsely that consumer prices are down. Say that in the headline!

Perhaps we need some strong messaging on how utterly out-of-touch these guys are with the economic and stressed-family-financial-world almost all of us live in.
