Children are Just Pawns and Victims to Trumpists
Abuse is a feature, not a bug, of the Trumpist order

Let’s start with this:
New Orleans, LA - Today, in the early hours of the morning, the New Orleans Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Field Office deported at least two families, including two mothers and their minor children – three of whom are U.S. citizen children aged 2, 4, and 7. One of the mothers is currently pregnant. The families, who had lived in the United States for years and had deep ties to their communities, were deported from the U.S. under deeply troubling circumstances that raise serious due process concerns.
The judge in one of the cases shares the ACLU’s concerns:
In an order Friday, Judge Terry Doughty for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana wrote there was a "strong suspicion that the Government just deported a U.S. citizen with no meaningful process."
When Doughty sought Friday afternoon to arrange a phone call with the mother of the girl, identified in court documents as "V.M.L.," Justice Department lawyers informed him that "a call" with the child's mother "would not be possible because she (and presumably VML) had just been released in Honduras."
As usual, they start by nibbling around the edges before they go full fascist.
This cruelty to children is nothing new in the right wing sphere. Consider this case:
OREM — A Utah psychologist and author of a book on pornography addiction is facing criminal charges accusing him of convincing child clients to strip naked during sessions so he could secretly record them.
Robert Virgil Dindinger, 54, of Spanish Fork, was charged on Thursday in 4th District Court with 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a second-degree felony, and two counts of voyeurism, a class A misdemeanor.
Dindinger is the owner of Utah Valley Psychology in Orem. According to his online bio, he works with people with disputes to create solutions, specializes in mental health and children, and wrote a book about recovery from pornography addiction.
This guy convinced the children in his care that they needed to strip down naked in order to be weighed. He’s a terrible predator, but it’s also an indicator of just how docile, compliant and ignorant right wingers keep their kids that this guy convinced them to strip for him. I’m not blaming the victims — he’s the predator, but there’s something about the need to keep kids ignorant about sex and obedient towards adults that feeds into the cycle of abuse in the right-wing community. (It’s not mentioned in the piece, but Dindinger was a member of the LDS Church, went on a mission and worked at BYU, so I’ll make the not-big leap to assume that most of his clients were Mormons.)
Even though child abuse reports are correlated with living in a red area, Trumpists are full of accusations of pedophilia towards Democrats. The Canadian Trumpists are no exception to that rule. This guy, dubbed the Brantford Boomer, went viral after this picture emerged:

Videos posted to Facebook show one protester shouting an offensive comment about [Prime Minister] Carney's daughter and another describing RCMP members as "pedo protectors" and Carney supporters as "pedo lovers."
The sad news of the death by suicide of Virginia Giuffre, who had accused Trump’s friend Jeffrey Epstein and Prince Andrew of sexual abuse that occurred when she was 17 years old is just a reminder that the damage inflicted on children is carried with them throughout their lives.
The pro-natalist movement that Kay wrote about the other day is just another example of right-wingers using kids as pawns or lifestyle accessories, as is this new disgusting habit of Vance and Musk bringing their kids everywhere as if that’s some sort of proper way to raise a child.
As far as I’m concerned, the whole point of the Q-Anon/Pizzagate/Pedo/Anti-Trans/Anti-Gay-Parenting shit is to put Democrats on the defensive and keep us from pointing out that the pedophilia and child abuse is mostly perpetrated by Trumpists. It’s an ugly fact that we might want to start pointing out.
