Bye Bye Bovino

And Republicans in Minnesota for a generation

As of last night, it appears that Greg Bovino is, at a minimum, leaving Minnesota, and he might have been demoted. It looked like the demotion was a certainty, but that might have been BlueSky wishcasting. What’s clear is that Trump is in retreat. We’ll see how this shakes out. There are also rumors that Kristi Noem is gong to be fired. Again, I’ll believe it when I see it. Democrats shouldn’t let up on Noem impeachment efforts, and a healthy opposition party would already have articles of impeachment drafted and plan on getting them to the floor of the House tomorrow.

Minnesota is not a deep blue state. The Minnesota House is tied, 50/50 Republicans and DFL (Democrats). Walz just ended his run for a third term in part because DFL legislators were worried about him getting beat. What a difference a couple of weeks, and the blood of innocents, makes:

A top Republican candidate for Minnesota governor has dropped out of the race, sharply criticizing what he called a “federal retribution on the citizens of our state” amid the Trump administration’s intensified immigration enforcement operations – which sparked public outrage after US agents’ killings ofAlex Pretti and Renee Good in Minneapolis.

On Monday, the Minneapolis-based attorney Chris Madel made his announcement, saying in a video online: “I cannot support the … stated retribution on the citizens of our state, nor can I count myself a member of a party that would do so.”

Klobuchar, or whoever ends up running for Governor, is likely to face a second-tier Republican this Fall.

I hope at some point people realize that Vance is the stalking horse for failure. He went to Greenland, and he went to Minnesota, and all he did was fuck up in both places. He’s a slick fucker who can rattle off lies with the worst of them, but he can’t get shit done.
