Another Good Person Lost

As we all know, another good person was killed by bad people yesterday. Alex Pretti was an ICU nurse at a VA hospital. Here’s a statement from his parents:

I watched Tim Walz’ press conference yesterday and he was about as angry as a Minnesotan can get. There have been some comments made about him on BlueSky of the “do something” variety, and I’m really at a loss to think of the things he can do. If he calls out the state troopers or the National Guard to battle ICE, Trump will invoke the Insurrection Act, federalize the Guard from some red state and send them in and/or send in the Army troops he has on standby in Alaska. Walz knows this. He knows how weak and ineffective he sounds when he asks Minnesotans not to be violent. He’s between a rock and a hard place.

ICE are federal goons, and the onus is on federal Democrats to do something. Schumer, the Democrat with the most leverage in DC, didn’t fight enough to stop the BBB, and he was ready to green light legislation to give ICE even more money. Welp, he finally wised up:

Better late than never, I guess. The government should be shut down over this. Republicans are killing Democrats, and instead of feeling shame, they’re making up lies about the mother and the nurse who were killed.
