Here’s Brian Beutler’s summary of the latest Trump/Epstein revelation:
The text of Trump’s note to Epstein reads:
Voice Over: There must be more to life than having everything.
Donald: Yes, there is, but I won’t tell you what it is.
Jeffrey: Nor will I, since I also know what it is.
Donald: We have certain things in common, Jeffrey.
Jeffrey: Yes, we do, come to think of it.
Donald: Enigmas never age, have you noticed that?
Jeffrey: As a matter of fact, it was clear to me the last time I saw you.
Donald: A pal is a wonderful thing. Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret.
Here’s the context:
“[The] typewritten text [is] framed by the outline of a naked woman, which appears to be hand-drawn with a heavy marker. A pair of small arcs denotes the woman’s breasts, and the future president’s signature is a squiggly ‘Donald’ below her waist, mimicking pubic hair.”
Here’s a gift link to Josh Marshall’s take. Josh thinks this scandal has legs. He drills in on the sop that Bondi and Trump plan to throw the base — release of some of the Grand Jury transcripts — which will do nothing to placate them.
On a side note, Brian wrote this last night:
As all this unfolds, House Democrats are trying to run down the clock past midnight Friday, which under esoteric rules would kill a GOP effort to unilaterally cut funds to PBS, NPR, food aid, and other programs appropriated by Congress. Democrats probably have the procedural tools they need to make Republicans blow that deadline.
Of course, the bill passed. Both in the Senate and the House, Democrats did not pull out all the stops, so now we won’t have PBS or NPR. Oh, well.

The dream of every red-blooded American kid is to have a dog as loyal to them as Democrats are to their talking points.
Perhaps, just perhaps, Democrats can pile on a bit more now that there’s yet another revelation.
